My fascination with the beauty industry started at the Library.

After completing my paper route as a pre-teen I would buy a candy bar at the grocery store, cross the street and wait in the Library for one of my parents to pick me up.

Inside it, I discovered not the many books I could read but instead dozens of different fashion and lifestyle magazines all for the borrowing and pouring over.

I was mesmerized by the advertisements,

editorial shoots, tips, tricks, and product recs from those in the know.

What always drew my interest most of all was the endless variety of faces.

Every person with their own unique features and tones and hues to be teased out and played up in the most dramatic form in the case of a Avantgarde shoot or advertisement, or the more subtle look for a day to day get ready in 5 minutes approach.

All of it interested me then and to this day is a source of intrigue and great delight.
